The Science of Sublingual

The word “sublingual” literally means “under the tongue.” It refers to a method of administering substances in the mouth so that they can be rapidly absorbed into the blood vessels. Surgical resection of the ileum eliminates the site of vitamin B-12 absorption.
Pancreatic insufficiency such as fish tapeworm infection and severe Crohn’s disease affect absorption.
